in a Blue Moon

Just once, at the end of June, a blue moon can change everything . . .so that the sense of summer (crickets calling to an oblique moon) can be sensed as summer, and time--just once-- in spite of the shattering speed of the earth's rotation as we careen through a darkening galaxy, seems to stand almost perfectly still and, for a split second, stop.
